Haiku... From the 2015 Christmas kitchen
Glistening pool of fat,
Sweet and spicy, sticky fruit.
Mincemeat blossoming.
(Something has to blossom in a haiku, doesn't it)
Well, this year's jars are now lidded and labelled. I'm pretty sure that the suet has congealed and sealed in all that fruity, nutty goodness. For the first time ever, excess apple and citrus juices started to ferment in Christmas 2014's batch. Everything seems to be back to normal for 2015... Phew!
